Ralph Martin is the Co-Founder of Fresh Coat. He became the brand’s
first franchisee, and during the company’s first 6 years in operation
he also held the title of President. Under his leadership, and ever since,
Fresh Coat has been consistently recognized both nationally and globally
as a top performing franchising system.
For nearly 20 years, Ralph served as Vice President, Maintenance and Engineering
for Delta Connection, the nation’s largest regional airline serving
multiple destinations throughout the US and Canada. While there, he was
responsible for the first technical introduction of the Canadair Regional
Jet certified for commercial service in the United States. These engineering
disciplines developed in the airline industry were instrumental to his
successful build of the Fresh Coat system.
Ralph is a veteran of the US Coast Guard certified as a search and rescue
C-130 flight engineer. He holds a graduate degree (MBA) from Xavier University
and has resided in Cincinnati, Ohio since 1986.
Taking over as President of Fresh Coat in late 2014, Tara Riley brings
proven senior executive experience to the company, most recently serving
as a Vice President in the Comfort Keepers senior care brand.
With over 30 years of executive management and operations experience in
franchising, Tara’s greatest success lies in creating profitable
growth for franchisees at every stop in her career. Leading teams in a
variety of business models including home improvement and remodeling,
Tara has experience working within global franchise icons such as McDonald’s
as well as in much younger high-growth brands. Also experienced as a business
owner, Tara understands the challenges and fears new business owners face
and has a passion for helping franchisees push through to success. This
experience is instrumental in leading Fresh Coat on a continued path of
growth and quest to be the largest painting brand in the world.
Vice President of Operations
Nathan brings to Fresh Coat two decades of experience in multi-unit, multi-state
franchise operations, business coaching and franchise development; coupled
with over 5 years of franchise ownership. He has exhibited success in
operational soundness, profitability, local marketing and team leadership.
He has lead multi-state and nationwide territories for some of the largest
and fastest growing franchise brands. His experience being a franchise
owner has yielded excellent perspective from an owners standpoint
While Nathan works closely with individual franchise owners on building
the brand within their exclusive territories, he also leverages their
expertise in continually improving the Fresh Coat franchise system as
a whole with new and updated tools aimed at creating a stronger national business.
Carolyn Liedtke adds a depth of experience in brand development and strategic
marketing to the Fresh Coat team that is vital in growing brand awareness
and driving business. She previously spent 17 years directing the Champion
Window brand where she was responsible for multi-channel marketing strategies,
new product launches, and everything in between.
Fresh Coat franchisees rely on Carolyn’s ability to create big marketing
concepts for the brand, and effectively apply them within each territory
to connect with customers, gain their business, and drive referrals from
partners. She is a huge fan of the brand and believes in a team environment
concept. A group using collaboration, open communication and equally sharing
victories and defeats will raise each other up to be better than the day before.
